ThreatSTOP version 5.0 release notes

ThreatSTOP 5.0 is a major release of our Security Platform. It is centered on a redesign of the admin portal but also adds several new features.

New features

Note: Every feature of the previous portal are available in the new portal.

New features include:

A new dashboard: get a quick overview of the traffic blocked by ThreatSTOP
A redesigned Device management page
- Web-based configuration for device management: All settings for Cisco ASA, Cisco IOS, Fortinet Fortigate and Palo-Alto Networks devices can now be created and maintained using the portal. The shell-based configuration remains available.
- All the configuration settings are at your fingertips.
User-defined lists
- Easy import/export in CSV format
- Support for automatic expiration of entries

Technology Preview

For the next month, it will be possible to toggle between the version 4 and version 5 portals. After this period, the version 4 portal will be retired.

Note: Devices created and managed using the new Web Automation feature can only be managed in the version 5 portal, all other features are forward and backward compatible.

Toggle between versions

From version 4 to version 5:
- Click on the Try version 5 button on the dashboard
- Click on the Logout link
- Login in to access the version 5 portal
From version 5 to version 4:
- Click on your Avatar icon to load the Accounts settings page
- Click on the Switch to version 4 button on the dashboard
- Click on the Logout link
- Login in to access the version 4 portal

Browser compatibility

The version 5 portal has been tested with the most recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer and Edge.
